Viral things are trending, so the DIABETES is

In today’s world, there are few diseases which have blackout healthy human life and Diabetes is one of them. The number of patient with diabetes disease drastically increases.

I am trying to explain all about diabetes in simple form to understand easily.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM):

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder also referred as diabetes mellitus. It is a condition in which blood sugar levels high over a prolonged period.

Hyperglycaemia: High blood sugar level

Hypoglycaemia: Low blood sugar level

Insulin: A Hormone your body need to maintains proper blood sugar level

Normal Mechanism of Body about Blood sugar:

When we eat Carbohydrate, bio chemicals present in small intestine breaks them in simple single sugar molecule (known as glucose) and cells lining of small intestine absorb the glucose and glucose reaches in blood stream.

When the blood with glucose reaches in your pancreas, Beta cells detects the rise in sugar level in blood and beta cells release insulin in blood to reduce rise in glucose and make blood glucose level at normal healthy range.

In our body most of the cells contains insulin receptors which when bind to circulated insulin and act as a key and lock model and cell get opened which allows glucose entry for energy production for proper working of body system.

Types of Diabetes Mellitus:

If we go in some depth of this topic, there are two type of DM

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus:

Pancreatic β (Beta) cell lose their ability to produce insulin

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus:

Pancreatic β (Beta) cell produce enough amount of insulin but insulin receptors present on cells does not allow bind to insulin (Insulin resistance)

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA):

When glucose molecule not allowed by the cell to enter inside because of cell resistance, cell takes energy from protein and fat. During fat break down process, certain by products releases which known as ketone bodies.

These ketone bodies accumulates into blood called ketosis. When amount of ketone bodies drastically increases in blood, this condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis which can leads to coma and death.

Diabetes Mellitus symptoms:

For both DM symptoms are frequent urination, increased hunger and thirst, Weight loss, Fatigue, recurrent infection, itching, tingling or prickling skin sensations, weakness, irritability and blurry vision

Long term health problems of High blood glucose:

Atherosclerosis, Blindness, Nerve damage and Kidney disease.

Diabetes diet plan:

What to eat:

Eating formula- High fiber low fat

Eat moong dal, masoor dal, chana daal

You can also eat jawari, Bajari, Brown rice, Bitter guard (Karela), Palak, Methi, shevga

Eat Orange, Crest (jambhool), imli, Grapes, Tomato (Eat citrus fruit)

Eat Fenugreek (Methi ka daana): Keep one spoon fenugreek with one small half cup water overnight and drink this water as well as eat this fenugreek empty stomach in the morning. It is most useful in diabetes disease.

What not to eat:

Don’t eat chapati (roti), polished rice, Potato and Raisins.

Don’t eat White bread as it allows rapid rise in blood sugar levels. If you like to eat bread then at least eat whole grain brown bread whose high fiber level increase sugar level slowly.

Don’t eat cakes and pastries as they are loaded with sugar, preservatives, sodium and junky white flour.

Don’t eat soft drinks and energy drink loaded with calories that lead to weight gain

Oil: As we know, no oil is listed for diabetic patient but we can use it in small quantity with diabetes management.

Oil should contain highest level of omega 3 fatty acids and less level of saturated fat like Olive oil, flaxseeds oil, Avocado oil, Walnut oil

Diabetes management:

Healthy eating: Make a list what should be eat and what not with maintaining discipline

Regular exercise: Do exercise regularly. It may reduce your blood sugar level and lead to weight loss.

Medications: Follow your doctor’s instructions and take your medication on time to time.

Psychological thinking: Most important aspect which avoid by many of people. Real struggle start with your thinking. One can return from Pre-diabetes if he/she is mentally prepared and strong for the situation. Stress level influenced this type of disease on health majorly. So, see with positive view and take correct actions don’t feel depressed. Because in such type of disease people mentally gets depressed and disturb. Start with positive mind.

If you are ready to fight with diseases everybody can help you but everybody’s help won’t help if your mind is not ready to fight.
